William Ward Evans, age 81, of Wells, MN died Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at Parkview Care Center in Wells. A Celebration of William’s life will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, with Fr. Greg Havel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family with arrangements.
William Ward was born March 7, 1939 in Blue Earth, MN, the son of William and Minerva (Thomas) Evans. He was united in marriage to Dianne Marie (Stenzel) and to this union 5 children were born. The couple later divorced. William farmed the family farm for a few years, worked for Leon Chirpich, and worked for Dulas Excavating and Marvin Giese Drainage for a number of years. He enjoyed coffee with the boys, playing BINGO and he was a Minnesota Viking Fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
William is survived by his children: James (Karen) Evans of Wells, MN, Jeff (Joy) Evans of Palmer, Alaska, John (Kelly) Evans of Crystal, MN, Julie Halverson of Frost, Jeanette VanGerpen of Bancroft, IA; 9 grandchildren: Kyle Evans, Vanessa Evans, Jared and Elana Beckmann, Alicia Hastings, Derick Evans, Brett Evans, Elijah and Ashley Rosin; several great-grandchildren; 4 sisters: Barb Anderson, Kathy Denio, Dorothy Vario, Monica Roney; 2 brothers: Neil Evans and Joel Evans, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will miss visiting Willie at Heartland Care .

I remember Bill was at the nursing home when my mom was there. He was always sweet on her ❤️. I swear he had the softest hands of anyone I’ve ever known. Sweet guy ever. Rest in peace Bill.
