Waneda Marlene Martin, age 86 of Wells, MN passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A private family funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home with Pastor Meg Sander officiating Face masks must be worn and social distancing rules will be observed. The funeral service will be live streamed on Facebook Live, on Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home’s page. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells, MN. Waneda Marlene was born September 13, 1934, the daughter of Helmuth and Margaret (Wendt) Fedder. Waneda married Gordon Martin on April 30, 1953 in Blooming Prairie, MN. Wadena was a loving mother and homemaker for her 5 children. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her pets. Waneda loved to dance. She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Waneda is survived by her 3 sons: Gordon Jr. (Julie) Martin of Wells, MN, Kermit (Linda) Martin of Salem, OR, David (Joyce) Martin of Easton, MN; 1 daughter, Tammy (Dick) Whiteis of Mankato, MN; daughter-in-law Connie Martin of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Laura (James) Gordon, Taylor (Emily) Martin, Justin Martin and Dru Martin; great-grandchildren: Daylyn and Caldyn Huper, Mason and Camden Gordon, Charlie and MaKenna Martin; along with many nieces and nephews.
Waneda is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gordon Martin Sr; son Kevin Martin; granddaughter Melissa Huper; 11 brothers and sisters.

So sorry to hear of your loss no matter their age it’s always hard to say goodbye. She always so kind to me no matter if Gordy and I were dragging in mud or snow.

Its been so long since I’ve seen waneda. Looking at her photo brought back memories from the past. She was a special lady and will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers to you all. The last time I saw Waneda, she came to my stepfather’s (her brother, Ervin Fedder) birthday celebration. The remaining brothers and sisters enjoyed getting together that day – it had been awhile.
To Tammy and family: Please accept my sincere sympathy on the lose of your mother. I have great memories of her from when we were in High School and the delicious food she served at your home, and the fun times had hanging out at your house. I always liked your mom. Take Care.
