Dale Jahnke
Dale Albert “Dodie” Jahnke, age 74, of Wells, MN died Monday, December 21, 2020 at his home. A public visitation with Dale’s family will be held Saturday, December 26 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN. Face masks will be required and social distancing will be followed. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family with arrangements. Dale was born May 15, 1946 in Albert Lea, MN the son of Albert and Marie (Jacobs) Jahnke. Dale attended Alden High School. He was united in marriage to Susan Kathryn (Stoen) Olson on July 9, 2005 in Minnesota Lake at the park. Dale worked over 34 years at Wells Concrete. He worked for Giese Farm Drainage for 5 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to Sturgis, old cars, fishing, camping at Pihl’s Park, having a Busch Light in the garage with his friends and family, and watching football. He always wanted everyone to “just be happy”!
He is survived by his wife Susan of Wells, MN; stepchildren: Shaun (Lisa) Olson of Wells, Crystal (Chris) McMormac of Nashville, TN, Heather Olson (Lafe Smith) of Minneapolis, MN, Jillene (Carrie) Pratt; grandchildren: Hayley, Hannah, and Brennan Olson; Madelyn and Morgan Meyer; and Sydney McCormac; 1 brother, Jerry (Elaine) Jahnke and 1 sister, Cheryl Mischke, all of Alden, MN; mother-in-law: Arlene Ewert; sisters-in-law: Sandy (Lon) Hird of Sioux Falls, SD, Patty Harkins of Florida, Pammy Schull of Wells, MN; brothers-in-law: Jerry (Jane) Ewert of Wells, MN, Woody Stoen of Minneapolis, MN, Brian Stoen of Apple Valley, MN, and Michael Ewert of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces, nephews and their families and a host of friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother Roger Jahnke; brother-in-law, Walt Mischke; nephews: Russell Mischke and Doug Johnson; and his four legged best friend Butch.

Did not know Dale well, at the lake, but he helped me out a couple of times with small problems. I missed him this last summer going around picking up small sticks and branches for his bonfire. He will be missed by the regular campers, for sure. Blessings to Susie and family😔

We just found out yesterday that Dale passed away. So sorry to hear that. We had many fun times with Dale, Susie, and the rest of the Wells gang riding our Harleys and enjoying the classic cars. Camp Harley in Spearfish, SD will never be the same. Our sincere belated condolences to Susie and family. R.I.P. Dale.
