Marcella Garlow
Marcella Garlow, age 101, of Wells, died Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Parkview Center in Wells, MN. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells with Pastor Meg Sander officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Social distancing and face masks will be observed. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth, MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Marcella Louise Garlow was born on March 23, 1919 in Foster Township, Faribault Co., MN the daughter of William Carl Herman Treptow and Elsie Louise (Passer). She was united in marriage to Walter Alfred Jesse Garlow on June 9th, 1949. Marcella enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She also loved quilting and did many beautiful crochet projects.
Marcella is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Sandi Garlow of Mapleton, MN; grandchildren: Jennifer and John Carlson of Charlotte, NC, Patrick and Jessica Garlow of Mapleton, MN, Laura Garlow and Jaysen Hohn of Austin, MN; great-grandsons: Zackary, Bryan, Tyler, and Cooper Garlow; sister, Arvilla Kain; brothers: Howard Treptow and Gordon and Margaret Treptow; brother-in-law William Sorenson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter; siblings: Esther Treptow, in infancy, Loretta Sorenson, Viola (Marvin) Dallman, Ralph (Emily) Treptow, and Clifford (Norma) Treptow; and sister-in-law Norma Treptow.
