William Stokman
William Henry Stokman, age 90, of Minnesota Lake, MN died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN, with Fr. Greg Havel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, with Military Honors accorded by the Wells Color Guard. William Henry was born July 20, 1931 in Mankato, MN, the son of Henry and Henrietta (Migelis) Stokman. He was united in marriage to Merikay Ruffing December 28, 1953, and to this union 3 children were born, the couple later divorced. Bill was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He loved to hunt and was a firm believer being outdoors cured what ails you. He enjoyed playing sports.
Bill is survived by his children: Tod (wife Connie) Stokman of Minnesota Lake, MN, Brad (wife Alexandria) Stokman of Missoula, MT, and Ann (husband Rich) Finch of Lindstrom, MN; grandchildren: Henry (Sara) Stokman of St. Louis Park, MN, Jake Stokman of Maplewood, MN; Otto, Elly and Adalein Stokman of Missoula, MT; and Lauren and Marie Finch of Lindstrom, MN; sister Kathryn Schnepp of Wauwatosa, WI; sister-in-law Peggy Stokman of Melrose, MN; nieces, nephews and their families.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother John Stokman and brother-in-law Eric Schnepp.

Bill was a great neighbor and good friend. We shared many hunting stories over the years. He will be greatly missed. My sympathies go out to the entire family. Sorry we can’t be around to attend his funeral.
