Jason Daniel Roberts
Jason Daniel Roberts, 55, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Open Doors United Methodist Church in Wells, MN at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Chris Leistra officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM prior to the service Saturday at the church. Military honors will be accorded by the Wells Color Guard.
Jason Daniel was born September 19, 1966 in Wells, MN, the son of Richard and Lois (Hill) Roberts. Jason graduated from Wells-Easton High School the class of 1985, and proudly served in the U.S. Army, before serving in the U.S. Airforce for 4 years. He was united in marriage to Teresa Lopez, September 24, 1999 in Fort Morgan, CO and to this union 2 children were born. Jason lived in many places before settling back home in Wells. He worked for many years as a maintenance mechanic at ADM in Mankato for 20 years. Jason enjoyed working on vehicles, learning computer mechanics and parts engineering. He also played video games with his brother Neil and great-nephews Dennis and Turner and his grandson Zander on a computer that he built for Zander. Jason loved watching the Vikings with his wife, while his daughter cheered on the Broncos and talked smack. Jason made everyone he came into contact with laugh and feel like family; he was loved by so many. He was the best Papa to his grandchildren.
Jason is survived by his wife Teresa Roberts; children: Matthew Roberts, Danielle (Brandon) Nasinec, Nathaniel Roberts (significant other Tai Walker); 2 grandchildren: Zander and Ahnika Nasinec and a baby on the way; mother Lois Roberts; siblings; Neil Roberts, David (Barbara) Roberts; brothers-in-law: Frank (Amy) Lopez, Alex Lopez, Ruben Lopez (significant other Mindy), and Roger (Brandi) Lopez; sisters-in-law: Gloria Lopez (Gerald); uncle Roger (Arlene) Roberts; aunt Betty Olson; along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard; father-in-law: Geronimo Lopez, Jr.; brother-in-law Geronimo (Junie) Lopez III.
