Alan B. Korman
Alan B. Korman, age 69, of Wells, MN died Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home in Wells. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at Nasinec Funeral Home (789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN). Following the visitation, Military Honors will be accorded by the Wells Color Guard outside Nasinec Funeral Home. Supper will follow in Nasinec Event Center to share fishing stories and to toast Al’s life. Burial will take place the next day, Friday, Sept. 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells for those wishing to be present. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials the Wells Rifle and Pistol Club or to the Wells Color Guard. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to MCHS-Albert Lea Oncology Department for their fabulous care of Alan. Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with arrangements.
Alan Bruce Korman was born April 29, 1953, the son of Gaylord and Betty (Hueper) Korman in Wells, MN. He attended Wells High School, and transferred to the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca (UMW) and graduated in 1971. He joined the United States Air Force Jan. 17, 1972 and was stationed in North Dakota as a missile mechanic. Alan was proud of the experience he had traveling to California to put a whole missile together and launch it. After his honorable discharge Oct. 14, 1975, Alan returned to Wells to operate the family farm. He loved to fish at his favorite fishing spot, Dog Tooth Lake in Canada; fishing and hunting in Lake of the Woods, in Northern Minnesota, any chance he could. He was a member in the Wells American Legion Post, Wells Rifle and Pistol Club and a life member of NRA. Alan loved shooting sports-Trap and 5-Stand.
Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
He is survived by his children: Mike Swanson of Wells, Shana (husband Mark) Schuster of Freeborn, MN, Matt (wife Rachael) Korman of Alden, MN; 5 grandchildren: Brooke (Ty) Lerum of Anchorage, AK; Alyson Swanson and Samantha Swanson, both of Wells, MN, Weston and Bennett Korman of Alden, MN; 2 great-grandchildren: Abel and Iva Lerum; special friend, Tracy Brandt of Wells; 1 sister Carolyn (husband Bryce) Norman of New Richland, MN; 1 nephew Eric (wife Amy) Norman of Madison Lake, MN, and 1 niece Renee (husband Jon) Stoltz and their 2 children of Waseca, MN.

Sorry for your loss. Alan was a dear friend. He is up there now having a great time fishing and telling stories about Alaska with Norbert and Emil. Rest in Pease Al. You will be missed.
