Marjorie Leona More, age 92, of Minnesota Lake, MN, died Saturday, October 7, 2023 at The Beacon in Mapleton, MN. Memorial Service will be Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Nasinec Funeral Home at 11:00AM in Wells, MN with Pastor Michael Matthews officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 4:00-7:00PM at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday (10:00-11:00AM). Marjorie Leona was born October 19, 1930, the daughter of Alfons and Leona (Brandt) Tolzmann in rural Minnesota Lake, MN. She attended school in Minnesota Lake Township. Marjorie was united in marriage to Kenneth More, July 4, 1947 in Wells, MN. They had 7 children. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Danville Township. Marjorie was a homemaker and worked at a number of area businesses doing seasonal work. She enjoyed quilting and needlework, dancing, and playing cards.
Marjorie is survived by 2 daughters: Janet (Curtis) Proehl of Big Lake, MN., Judy (David) Hamann of Cheyenne WY.; 5 sons: John (Anne) More of Exeter, PA., Jim (Edie) More of Minnesota Lake, MN., Jerry More of Spring Valley, CA., Joel (Sharon) More of Hastings, MN., and Jay (Kathy) More of Farmington, MN.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Delilah Burmeister of Mankato, MN., and Shirley (Bill) Schroeder of Woodland, CA.; in-laws: Fay More of Andover, MN., Charles More of Lonsdale, MN., and Pearl Lantz of Mapleton, MN.; along with many nieces, nephews, and their families.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth (2012), her parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 daughter-in-law, Janet More.
