I just saw this, and wanted to pass along my sympathy. Gwen was a friend to my parents (Al and MaryAnn Brixius). My mother boarded with Gwen’s parents when she student taught in a country school near Wells in 1938. Gwen was a friendly and kind person. The world was a better place because of her presence.
