Wendy J. Niebuhr
Wendy June Niebuhr, age 67, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at her home in Alden, MN. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells with Pastor Lou Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells (789 Business Park Drive), one hour prior to the service at the funeral home (noon-1:00 PM) on Wednesday.
Wendy was born June 27, 1956, in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Merlyn and Marjorie (Skov) Swehla. She graduated from Alden-Conger High School, and then attended technical school in Mankato for legal secretary. On April 16, 1977, Wendy was united in marriage to Bruce Niebuhr in Alden, MN. To this union, 4 children were born: Miranda, Aurora, Tessa and Spencer. She worked along-side her husband Bruce in their business, B & B Pallets. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed watching all of her grandchildren’s many activities. Wendy loved taking still pictures and video photography. She possessed a green thumb and was able to grow plants and keep them alive.
Wendy is survived by her husband Bruce Niebuhr of Alden, MN; 4 children: Miranda and Tim Sailor of Conger, MN, Aurora and Jeremy Grunzke of Alden, MN, Tessa and Nathaniel Cummings of Wells, MN, Spencer Niebuhr and significant other Chelsea Czenkus of Alden, MN; 11 grandchildren: Logan Sailor, Gage Sailor and fiancé Chloe Neely, Shayanne and Payton Sailor; Mayson, Cearra and Vivian Grunzke; Chloe and Corbin Cummings; Dyna and Charlee Hanson; one great-grandchild, Kashlyn Sailor; also surviving Wendy: one brother, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law with their spouses, along with their families.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents Merlyn and Marge Swehla, sister, Cynthia and in-laws, Marvin and Marvel Niebuhr.

I was so sorry to hear that Wendy passed away. She was a good friend of mine in high school. I have fond memories of her, especially in shorthand class. She was a good student. The Niebuhr family has my deepest sympathy.
