Daniel (Scotty) Scott Hodge, age 62, of Wells, MN, passed away Saturday, March, 2, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, MN. A memorial service will be held at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN (789 Business Park Drive) on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will start one hour prior to the service. Scotty was born October 9, 1961, the oldest of five children, to Daniel William Hodge and Carol Jeanne (Young) Hodge in Wells, MN. He graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1980 where he competed in football, baseball and wrestling. In his Senior year, he competed in the state wrestling tournament. Following his graduation from high school, Scotty attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD where he studied science education. He later transferred to Mankato State University in Mankato, MN where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. On June 7, 2002, Scotty was united in marriage to Sandra Jasso in Fargo, ND. To their union, they had twin sons, Daniel and Jonathan. Scotty worked a variety of jobs over the years. His favorite job was doing construction with his father. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, and bingo, watching the Vikings, and spending time with his sons. He also had an exceptional memory and often shared stories from his “glory days.”
Scotty is survived by his wife Sandra (Jasso) Hodge of Wells, MN, twin sons Daniel Jeffrey Hodge and Jonathan Dylan Hodge of Wells, MN, twin chihuahuas Nube and Canela, siblings Julienne Pourrier, Sandra Lopez, Llewellyn (Barbara) Hodge, Jo Dell (Fidel) Trujillo, in-laws Arturo Jasso Jr., Lupe Moreno, Israel Jasso, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Scotty was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Carol Hodge, mother-in-law Guadalupe Jiminez, father-in-law Arturo Jasso, in-laws Carlos Lara and Erika Jasso, nephew Tony Trujillo, and nieces Sara Pourrier and Amy Pourrier.

I didn’t know Scotty real well but from what I did know of him he was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved his family.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember many a card game that Scott participated in with Terry. He will be missed.
