Paul Allen Johnson, age 60, of Delavan, MN, died Monday, April 8, 2024. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN.
Paul was born December 2, 1963 to Ronald and Arlene (Parro) Johnson in Grand Rapids, MI. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S Davidson. Paul moved to Rochester, MN where he worked at Pace Dairy and met his future wife, Keli Lane. Paul and Keli welcomed two sons; Corey and Anthony. Paul was a hard worker; he went from working at Pace Dairy to being an HVAC Technician for 30 years.
Paul enjoyed many hours of PG-13 activities with his best friend and brother-in-law Mark. He also enjoyed spending time with his boys. In his free time, he enjoyed working on anything with an engine; especially motorcycles. He liked working on model ships and tinkering with remote controlled vehicles.
“He never looked for praises. He was never one to boast. He just went on quietly working, for the ones he loved the most. His dreams were seldom spoken, his wants were very few, and most of the time his worries went unspoken, too. He was there, a firm foundation through all our storms of life. A sturdy hand to hold on to. In times of stress and strife. A true friend we could turn to. When times were good or bad. One of our greatest blessings. The man that we called Dad.” -Unknown
Paul is survived by his wife Keli; sons: Corey and Anthony (Samantha); siblings: Mike, Tim, Denise, Rose; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Arlene Johnson; brother Chris Johnson; brother-in-law Mark Arnold.
