Pat was born to Pasquale and Georgia Lee (Day) Cordova Sr. on August 8, 1953, at Mother Cabrini Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He attended school at Jesse Spalding School in Chicago. He then completed the Janitorial/Custodian Training from Goodwill Industries located in Chicago, Illinois. The skills learned from this training turned out to be very useful. During the next 9 ½ years, he held positions in Minnesota at Franks Nursery & Crafts, Edina Realty, Rorke Data Supply, Friendship Village, Control Data, and Cub Foods. He also enjoyed interacting with customers in all of his roles including as a Box Office/Ticket Taker for nearly 12 years for Megastar Theaters and AMC Theaters, as a Cashier for almost 10 years at Cub Foods, as well as a Cashier at Walmart for almost 10 years.
Pat was introduced to Pamela “Pam” Kruger on July 2, 1987, through a mutual friend, Christopher “Kit” Grandon. On May 20, 1995, Pat & Pam were united in marriage at Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester, MN. Pat enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He treasured the time with Pam, where they enjoyed going to movies or just watching a favorite show on TV while cuddled under a blanket with Pepsi and freshly popped popcorn! He had an appetite for home cooked meals that Pamela prepared for him daily. There were no instant mashed potatoes in this household! He enjoyed spending time with the family at our numerous gatherings. He also stood up for the rights of others. If he saw someone being mistreated, he would go over to help out that individual. Pat could not stand it when he heard others being called names, just because they had a disability. He did not allow his own physical disability of Cerebral Palsy to affect his own life. He had a passion for life. He was happy to have found the love of his life in Pam. He enjoyed their daily chats. He also grew accustomed to and would always welcome the long “Kruger Goodbyes” whenever returning to Plymouth, MN from a family visit.
Pat is survived by his wife Pam, son Patrick (wife Titanna Haley) Tidwell, siblings: Carmelita Cordova, Angelo Cordova, Alberto (Marie Therese) Cordova, Catherine (Albert) Ramos, Angelo (Virginia) Cordova Sr., Tracey Guerrero, and Hope Love (Jerry) Krawczyk; in-laws: Becky Wolfe, Raymond Kruger Jr., Ronald (Gail) Kruger, Michael (Dawn) Kruger; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
