Diana Burns, age 82, of North Mankato, formerly of Wells, MN, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Vista Prairie at North Pointe in North Mankato, MN.
Diana Burns, age 82, of North Mankato, formerly of Wells, MN, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Vista Prairie at North Pointe in North Mankato, MN. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN, with Pastor Vern Christofferson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church (10:00-11:00 AM). Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells.
Diana was born September 17, 1941 at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Rolland and Alice (Niebuhr) Korman. She attended Wells High School. She married Jim Burns on Jan. 20, 1958. Diana enjoyed sewing and made her daughters clothes and her daughters Barbie Doll clothes to match. She embroidered towels and pillow cases and gave them to her family and friends. She traveled to Florida and Las Vegas often to visit her siblings. She liked to go to Diamond Joe’s Casino and gamble the nickel slot machines. After she moved to No. Mankato, she always requested Bean or Beef Burritos from Taco John’s whenever a person visited. She worked for many years at Telex in Blue Earth, MN.
She is survived by her children Sandy (Al) Meyer of Mankato, MN, Tim Burns of Wells; 3 grandchildren: Mike (Jenice) Meyer of Superior, WI, Ben (Kathy) Meyer of Eagle Lake, MN, and Sarah (Steve) Peterson of St. Peter, MN; 8 great-grandchildren: Dylan and Madeline; Ally, Makayla and Isabelle; Brandon, Bailey and Emily; and one great-great grandchild, Haven; one sister: Marvel Huper of Wells, MN; nephews and nieces: Steve (Kimberly) Huper, Tom (Angie) Huper, all of Wells, MN, Bruce Korman of Alaska, Carolyn (Bryce) Norman of Waseca, MN, Aalison (PJ) Moore of Las Vegas, NV; along with their families.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, husband James (1996), siblings: Betty Hove, Gaylord (Betty) Korman, Bruce (Ruby) Korman, brother-in-law, Willard Huper; nephews: Dan Huper and his son Cory Huper; Dale Olson and Al Korman; niece, Beverly Sylvara.

Oh Diana I will miss you so much! I enjoyed our many years of me behind the chair doing your hair. To this day I still talk about you and your daughter I loved doing your guys hair so fun to talk to! And of course to my dear friend Tim I am so so sorry for your loss your mother was a great woman I will miss her dearly!
