Betty A. Olson, age 92, of Wells, MN passed away Thursday September 26th, 2024 at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. Betty was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at Open Doors United Methodist Church in Wells, MN with visitation starting an hour prior (10:00am-11:00am) to the service with interment at the Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Betty Ann Olson was born October 5, 1931 on a farm between Wells and Freeborn, MN. she was the only daughter of Daniel C and Annie (Berger) Roberts.  Betty had 6 brothers who drove her crazy, but loved them more than anything in the world.  We are sure that her and Richard are up there arguing about who is the baby/youngest. Betty was married and later divorced. She raised seven children on her own.

Betty was employed at Yaeger’s Café at the age of 13, Paal’s, she did childcare at home and at the Methodist Church, Cub Scout co-leader, Campfire leader and was the “Theatre Lady” for 45 years at the Flame Theatre.

She is survived by her children Kathleen Fountain, Jane (Pete) Stennes, LeAnn West, Tom (SunOk) Olson, Julie (Doug) Johnson, Karri (Lowell) Johnson and son-in-law Mike Hadley.  Her 17 grandchildren/great grandchildren Hal (Mandy) Voges, Matt and Mika.  Kim Sullivan, Kagreyson.  Kelley Sullivan, Calvin Sullivan.  Ron (Carla) Stennes, Andrew and Jarrett.  Jon (Michelle) Wacholz, Raven and Hailey.  Lana (Marty) Bradley, Tonja.  Brian (Bonnie) Wacholz, Terry.  Jeannie (David) Davison, Justin, Kayla, Emily and Rachel.  Steven (Deanna) Olson, Christian and Ethan.  Anna (Thuong) Le, Jaden and Jonah.  Nikki (Jeff) Jeeninga, Joseph and Tristian.  Darcie (Felipe) Gonzalez, Zendaya, Felipe Jr. and Emmanuel.  Greg (Sharee) Johnson, Melissa (Brian) Rath, Justin and Ellie.  Joshua (Jessica) Johnson, Hunter and Kenzie.  Eric Hadley, Damien. Sisters in law Arlene (Roger-2022) and Lois (Richard-2019), along with great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father and mother, Dan and Annie.  Brothers Marvin (Bonnie), Roger, Bruce (Lorraine), Giles (Esther), Corvin (Georgianna), Richard; daughter Deb and son-in-law John.
