Dawn Marie Cory was born on September 20, 1968 in Mankato, MN to Tony Russ and Carolyn Miller. Dawn grew up in Southern Minnesota and graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1987. On Tax Day in 1994, she married Michael Cory and had three children; they were later divorced. She then met Tim Reed and shared 18 fun years and a son together. Dawn was a Jill-of-all-trades and held positions in the following job sectors: human resources, education, farm work, and real estate. But her most favorite job was running Lake Reno Resort in Glenwood, MN for nearly a decade. Dawn was the most fun-spirited, lively person who loved to laugh loud, travel, have a cocktail, check out the cattle with Redd, ride motorcycle, go Jeeping, get dressed up and dance, and spend time on the lake with all her family and friends. Her kids were her best friends and she believed them to be the very best parts of her.

Dawn is survived by her children Kalei (Benjamin), Jacob, and Jackson; significant other Dennis (Redd) and his children; stepfather Mark Miller, siblings and their spouses Steve (Jessica) Russ, Sheri (Claver) Hoehn, Matthew (Bobbie) Russ, and Jason Russ; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great friends.

She was preceded in death by both her biological parents Carolyn and Tony, baby girl Sweet Pea, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family asks that you wear bright colors to celebrate her vibrant Life and to also write a letter or leave a note of the funniest stories of her just being Dawn. Her laugh and compassionate nature will be missed deeply by her kids, family, and friends.
