Kitty was born February 26, 1940, in Wells, Minnesota and was proudly the third of 11 children born to Art and Peg Warmka. Kitty spent her childhood on her parents’ farm in Easton, Minnesota with her brothers and sisters, enjoying the farm, sewing, and baking. In the mid-70’s Kitty moved to Northglenn, Colorado where she met and married the love of her life, Paul McDonnell. Kitty and Paul relocated to Minnesota Lake, Minnesota in 1981.
Kitty was incredibly proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She loved being with family, friends, and especially her grandkids. She was a caring and giving person who adored sharing her baking, sewing and crafting talents. We were always welcomed to her home with the smell of fresh-baked creations. We will forever miss her smile, laugh, kindness…and cookies!
Kitty is survived by three children: Curt Gallagher (Annette) of Thornton, Colorado; Craig Gallagher (Suzanne) of St. Michael, Minnesota; and Mark McDonnell (RaeAnn) of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Her eight grandchildren: Luke Ursini-Gallagher, Jacob Ursini-Gallagher, Grace (Tyler) Dean, Rose (Mitchell) Gallagher, Joseph Gallagher, Samuel (Charli) Gallagher, Azlyn McDonnell, and Jaxson McDonnell. Two-great grandsons: Henry Ursini-Gallagher and Arthur Dean. She is also survived by her loving brothers and sisters: Anne Anderson of Lake Crystal; Joan (Dick) Gartzke of Eau Claire, WI, Leu Killion of Apple Valley, Paul (Judy) Warmka of Wells, Ray (Lynn) Warmka of Savage, Beth (Dale) Beckmann of Inver Grove Heights, Steve (Denise) Warmka of Lakeville, Rollie (Pam) Warmka of Wells, Julie (Blaine) Hendrickson of Burnsville, Lynne (Barry) Grunzke of Eden Prairie. Our family would like to thank the caregivers from The Wellstead in Rogers, Minnesota for the love, concern and care they provided for mom. Mom was one of a kind – quick-witted, thoughtful and faithful. While her passing brings us insurmountable sadness, we are grateful for our time with her. Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege.
To the Warmka families, Donnie and I wish to let you know we are so sorry for your loss and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Sue and Donnie Grunzke.

Kitty was a wonderful person and a great neighbor. It was always so nice to get together and have a good conversation along with a cup of coffee. She will be missed by many. Our sympathy to all her family. God bless!
My heart hurts for Kitty’s family and friends. She was a wonderful lady! I have fond memories of the times I got to to sit in on my mom Lorna Adams’ coffee parties with Kitty and their group of friends. What fun to listen to their stories and hear their laughter! Mom felt very close to Kitty. They shared a strong friendship and a love of homemaking, sewing and crafting. I have a few of Kitty’s creations in my house. She was a talented artist. I feel so bad that I was unable to make it to her services. May she rest in peace and enjoy eternal happiness.
