Bucky was born July 22, 1951, the son of Burton and Donna (Swenson) Schroeder.  He graduated from Minnesota Lake High School, the class of 1970.  He was united in marriage to Marcia Anderson on August 26, 1972 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, MN.  The couple made their home in Wells and raised a son, Troy, and two daughters, Tara and Tanya.

Bucky was an avid hunter and fisherman.  When he wasn’t hanging out in the party room in the garage watching his favorite old westerns, he could be found watching the Vikings and occasionally some NASCAR too.  And, if you ever saw him without a baseball cap, you knew it must be a very special occasion.  He also loved helping friends with the chores on the farm. He was a jack of all trades, and worked at Lampert Lumber until his retirement.
