Mitzi, Peggy, Cindy, Jeff, and families,
Although we only got to spend such a very small amount of time with your sweet mom, she was a special person to us and we loved getting to meet her. What a beautiful soul.
Please know you are all in our prayers for peace and comfort. We know your happy memories will carry you through and hope you feel our heartfelt condolences,
Sincerely, ..Kevin and Lisa Teigland; friends of the Shirk family
I enjoyed getting to meet Norma through Virginia Underdahl. Since she has been in St. Luke’s we have attended chapel together, and it has been good to visit with her. She will be missed. My prayers for you, family, for God’s comfort and peace in the days ahead.
I met Norma through being a volunteer at St. Luke’s. We were fast friends and I visited every time I came. I wasn’t able to be there for the last few days because of illness. I will certainly miss seeing her smile and good humor and helping with her jigsaw puzzles, (which I was never good at but loved visiting with Norma.) Towards the end of her journey I would sit with her because she didn’t want to feel alone. To Norma’s family, thank you for sharing her with us at St. Luke’s. We’ll all miss her so much. Rest in peace my friend. I love you. ❤️
Norma … What a sweetheart!!! I met Norma when I first started out teaching kindergarten at Bricelyn. She was one of the cooks and Floyd was a custodian at the school. I never had any of their kids in class. But I do remember Norma as always being such a “ray of sunshine”!!! She had the prettiest smile and laugh!!! And our kids are still enjoying the Christmas Stockings i had her make for me!!! Thank heavens she taught one of her daughters how to continue to make them!!!
God Bless Your Mom … Doug and I so enjoyed her. My husband would drive the kindergarteners over and he would sit with the cooks and sometimes help them out. Then he’d enjoy fresh cookies with them!!! May your family be blessed and wishing you our sincere condolences.
Mitzi, Peggy, Cindy, Jeff, and families, We are so sorry for your loss. Sylvia spoke so fondly of your family and especially loved the visits in Owatonna. Norma was such a special person to Sylvia. Thoughts and prayers as you grieve her loss. Mark and Josie Christian and family
My condolences to you all. Your Mom was such a sweetheart and good friend for many years.
