Glendon Ray Giese, age 72 of Wells, MN passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday March 9, 2025 surrounded by his family.  A Celebration of Life will be held Friday April 4, 2025 from 1:00-3:00pm at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN. Interment will be held privately at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Wells American Legion from 3:00-6:00pm.

Glendon was born November 26, 1952 to Ferdinand Adam Giese and Viola Matilda Meyer at his Aunt Emma Fuch’s home in Wells during a snowstorm. He was the youngest of 8 children. Glen grew up in Easton and he graduated from Wells-Easton high school in 1971. Glen married Linda Dulas in June of 1972 and together they had 8 children, they divorced after 32 years of marriage. Over his lifetime, Glen worked in many different trades and honed many different skills, often referred to as the Jack of All Trades. He owned Glen’s Body Shop in Easton for many years and mastered the self-taught skill of painting cars. Glen often worked up to three jobs just to support his large family. He was known as a hard worker, often called Superman. He was always willing to lend his friends and family a hand, whether it was to fix a car or some remodeling project, he knew how to do almost anything. Even as a young man he could tear anything mechanical apart and fix it. In 1988 Glen continued his education at Albert Lea Technical College (where he excelled and even taught a class in welding) earning himself a degree in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance in 1990. Glen was an outdoorsman, a storyteller (especially in his garage with a Michelob Golden Light in hand), and he had a love of riding his Harley, which he passed on to his sons. Glen moved his family to Ham Lake, MN in 1994. After his retirement, Glen moved back to Wells around 2015, where he met Barb Albers soon after, with whom he spent the remainder of his life with. Glen loved spending time with his family, teaching them his knowledge, sharing his stories with his kids, grandkids and (friend and honorary brother) Jimmy Pitcher. He was very particular about his lawn, receiving compliments on how nice it looked, always taking pride in everything he did. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but never forgotten.

Glen is preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Tiffany and his oldest son Jay, his parents, and siblings: Betty (Don) Goodrich, Darlene Troff (Darrell Troff and first husband Wayne Sailor in accident), Bill (Sandy), Kenny, Brian, and an infant brother.

He is survived by special friend Barb Albers of Wells; his sister, Darla (Jack) Horntasch of Wells; Children: Tina Giese (Kenneth Schroeder) of Wells, Jeff (Kim) Giese of Wells, Nathan (Sandra Panning) Giese of Braham, MN, Christin Johnson (Pat Wagner) of Chandler, AZ, Dezeray Sanders of Colombia, TN, and Shantel (Dylan) Hart of Windsor, CO; Grandchildren: Samantha Schroeder, Skyler, Potter, and Ryder Giese, Sunshine, Jeffrey, and Clarissa Giese, Dameyon  Giese, Riley Johnson, Rayne, Taylor, and Reagan Sanders, and Oliver Hart; Great-Grandchildren: Isaac and Azalia Mathews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
