Cheryl Dawn Pitcher, age 59, of Wells, MN, died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN with Pastor Olson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday prior to the service. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells, MN at a later date. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home is assisting the family. Cheryl was born February 21, 1962 in Wells, MN to Larry and Betty Lou (Mogensen) Weitzel. She graduated high school from Wells Easton in 1980. On October 2, 1981 she married James Pitcher at United Methodist Church in Wells, MN. Cheryl loved being outside, decorating around the house and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed watching television, especially Judge Judy. Cheryl loved her dog Maddie. She loved spending time with her children and absolutely adored her grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, James Pitcher of Wells, MN; Sons: Nicholas Pitcher of Albert Lea, MN and Nathan (Heather) Pitcher of Moorhead, MN; daughter: Brittany Pitcher of Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren: Shevelle Gusan of Wells, MN and Kaylee Pitcher of Albert Lea, MN; sister: Liz Weitzel of Rochester, MN; half-brother: David Weitzel of Grand Rapids, MN; half-sister Christina Nyflot of Brainerd, MN; uncle Kenny Weitzel of Brainerd, MN; aunt Joy (Bob) Olson of Milaca, MN; In-laws: Joe (Hilda) Pitcher of Burlington, KY, Gerald (Trudy) Pitcher of Wells, MN, Donna (Quentin) Stenzel of Wells, MN, Cathleen Quam of Rake, IA, Diane (Mike) Henning of Bricelyn, MN, Barb Albers and special friend Glen Giese of Wells, MN; along with several nieces, nephews, and their families.
She is preceded in death by her son Blake, her parents, and sister Melanie Weitzel.
