James Warmka, age 85, died Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 surrounded by his family at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN, with Father Greg Havel officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Interment will be in Walnut Lake Township Cemetery, Faribault County, MN. James was born May 24, 1936 the son of Louis and Kathryn (Schimek) Warmka.  He was united in marriage to Marian Klenk December 29, 1960 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells.  To this union five children were born.  James enjoyed working the land his whole life as a farmer, woodworking and volunteering in the community.

James is survived by his children Anne (Richard) Ward, Dennis Warmka, Valerie (Joseph) Buttweiler, Cynthia (Peter) Baker, and Beverly Jo (James) Warmka Cardin; four grandchildren: Blake and Marcus Buttweiler; Andrew and Jonathan Ward; siblings:  Margaret Barrett, Rosemary Cavadini, Tom (Cheryl) Warmka, John (Carol) Warmka, and Dan (Deb) Warmka; sisters-in-law: Helen (Bill) Sonnek, Cleone (Irving) Meyer; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marian and his parents.
