Kathryn “Tudy” Spencer
Kathryn Spencer, age 93, of Wells, MN, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at her home in Wells surrounded by family. Visitation will be Monday, November 28, from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a prayer service at 11:00 AM at Nasinec Funeral Home (789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN) with Father Greg Havel officiating. Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with arrangements.
Kathryn “Tudy” was born April 8, 1929 in Delavan, MN the daughter of Herman and Lena (Marte) Meyer. On her 18th birthday (April 8, 1947), was united in marriage to Bruce Spencer at St. Casimir Catholic Church, where she was a long-time, faithful member. She loved visiting with her family and friends, playing cards, and in her younger years enjoyed dancing. Tudy was a loyal RFDTV viewer. She was a member of the Wells VFW and Legion Auxiliaries.
She is survived by her daughter, Deb Mikolai of Wells, MN; 4 grandchildren: Jeremy (Nora) of Portland, OR, Barry (Nikki) of Mankato, MN, Tim (Erin) of McKinleyville, CA and Tricia Mikolai (Brett Hanson) of Australia; 4 great-grandchildren: Rylee and Paylin; Spencer and Emerson; sister: Lois Grunzke of Minnesota Lake, MN, and sister-in-law, Julie Meyer of Wells, along with their families.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Angel, son Robert “Bob” (1965), husband Bruce, brother Clifford Meyer, brother-in-law Maynard Grunzke, and nephews Mike and David Traynor.
