Violet Stenzel, age 99, of Mapleton, MN, formerly Minnesota Lake, MN died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN at ****(10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023) **** with Fr. Greg Havel officiating.  Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Minnesota Lake. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with arrangements.      Violet Eleanor More was born, August 1, 1923, near Braham, Minnesota, the daughter of Fay and Helen (Burnell) More.  She was one of 11 children.  On November 16, 1948, she married Walter F. Stenzel.

     Violet loved playing cards, especially with her brothers and sisters and the many card clubs that she belonged to.

     Violet is survived by her children; Mark (Mardel) Stenzel, of Madison Lake, MN, Joan (Mark) Hansen, of Truman, MN, Wally (Pat) Stenzel, of Wells, MN; grandchildren, John Hansen, Jeff (Sarah) Hansen, Michael (Lisa) Stenzel, Melissa (Bryan) Orthun, Angie (Amit) Deokar, Kim (Sheldon) Stevermer, Katie (Aaron) Ligocki; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Lantz, of Mapleton, MN, brother, Fay More, of Andover, MN, brother, Charles More, of New Prague, MN, and many nieces and nephews.

     She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter Stenzel; brothers; Marvin Dale More, Kenneth More, Alvis (Carol) More, sisters; Thelma (Edward) Evan, Ellamay (Jerry) Tarpy, Evangeline (Dominic) Stenzel, Betty Lou (Harvey) Fendrich, brother-in-laws; Luverne Carey, Willard Lantz; sister-in-laws; Betty More, Millie More, Darlene More.
