Arthur “Art” William Allis, age 81, of Wells, MN, died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. The Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 5:00 PM with Father Matt Wagner officiating at Nasinec Funeral Home, 789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Art was born January 29, 1942, the son of Clarence and Helen “Nellie” (O’Rourke) Allis. Art graduated from Wells High School, the class of 1960. He married the love of his life Nancy Weberg, February 12, 1965 in Minneapolis, MN. To this union three sons were born. Art was a life long farmer and a true cowboy. He raised and showed registered Quarter Horses for years. He liked to hunt and was never without a cap on his head. Art was the family historian, a generous socializer, and had everything he needed (or you needed) in his truck.
Art is survived by his wife, Nancy Allis of Wells, MN; children: Darin Paul Allis (special friend Mandy Giese) of Easton, MN, Eric Jon (Ronda) Allis of Easton, MN, and Reed Arthur Allis of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Charlie Allis of Wells, Katie Allis and Jim Allis, both of Mankato, MN, Megan (Patrick) Levine of Easton, MN, Amanda (Lucas) George of Robbinsdale, MN, Lauren Allis of Minneapolis, MN, Will Allis and Ruby Allis, both of Easton, MN; great-grandchildren: Layla, Zoe, and Jonas Levine of Easton, MN; Art’s siblings: Joan (John) O’Halloran of LaGrange, IL, Mary (Mark) Brummer of Alden, MN, Pat (Deb) Allis and Bill (Connie) Allis, all of Wells, MN, Nancy (Dan) Wagner of Stillwater, MN; Nancy’s brother, Tom (Paula) Quinn of St. Paul, MN; along with several nieces, nephews, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Richard (Julie) Allis and Robert Allis; nephew, Paul Allis; and in-law’s, Chuck and Elvia Quinn, and Lorenz Weberg.

You all have my sympathies, I always loved seeing Art in the elevator in Wells. He was an inspiration to me.

Art was a senior when I was a lowly sophomore coming over to WHS from Easton. Art always made me feel like I belonged and I had a major crush on him for years! Prayers to all of you! All the Dunagan girls had crushes on the Allis boys❤️

So sorry for the entire Allis family. Art was a huge inspiration for me when I was growing up. His love of horses definitely rubbed off on me. I can still see him running and jumping on Buster. A long time ago.
