Susan M. Boyes, age 65, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her home in Wells. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, Wells, MN with Father Eugene Stenzel officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, December 27, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Nasinec Funeral Home, 789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN. Susan was born October 13, 1958, a daughter to Victorian L. and Mary Daisy (VanRossum) Bach in Wells. She graduated from Minnesota Lake High School, the class of 1976. Susan was united in marriage to John Scott Boyes August 27, 1977 in Minnesota Lake. She loved going camping and being with her family, her siblings, and most importantly her grandchildren. Sue enjoyed baking with her grandkids and picking apples. She enjoyed mowing her lawn, and was an amazing cook, too.
She is survived by her children: Matt Boyes (Tanya Meyering) of Wells, MN, Melissa (Chad) Gerdes of Litchfield, MN; 3 grandchildren: Quen Meyering and Danica Boyes and Zoe Gerdes; siblings: Mary (Eugene) Sorenson of Minnesota Lake, Shirley Mogk of Spickard, MO, Dave (Linda) Bach of Minnesota Lake, Vicki (Ron) Ankrum and Nancy (Monte) Mowry, all of Owatonna, Richard (Christy) Bach of Thornton, CO, Dick (Karen) Thorman of Paynesville, MN; in-laws: Mary Jimenez of Apple Valley, MN, Sharon (John) Oksness of Luverne, MN, William (Nona) Boyes of Faribault, MN; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 2014, and brothers-in-law Bruce Mogk and John Jimenez.

We lived in the same duplex as John & Sue shortly after we were married…’77-‘78 or so. Nice couple! One night an insurance agent came as we were leaving our apartment & said John & Sue?? We said yes & he started talking insurance with us….took us awhile to figure out he was there to see John & Sue Boyes in the front apartment & not John & Sue Vee!
