Alejandro Lopez, 49, of Alexandria, MN passed away January 22nd, 2024.

A Celebration of Life Party will be Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at Nasinec Funeral Home (789 Business Park Drive Wells, MN 56097) starting at 12:00 PM (Noon).  He will be buried on his birthday, June 13, 2024, in Calvary Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN.

Alex was born June 13, 1974 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to Geronimo Jr. and Joyce (Aldama) Lopez. He graduated from Blue Earth Area High School. He worked at Buttweiler’s Do-All, Inc construction as a commercial roofer.

Alex was a family man as he was one of seven children. He was a die-hard Raider fan and trash talker to all Vikings and Broncos fans. He enjoyed singing and listening to all genres of music. He loved boating, fishing, working on cars, and building a good fire. Most of his nieces and nephews learned how to swim and dance by trial and error with him. He was the first to greet you at the door and the last to say goodbye at events. He was the loudest at graduations, birthdays, and weddings (his family’s biggest supporter).  Any occasion where there was dancing he was out tearing up the dance floor, whether he had a partner or not. But if he asked you to dance…you were going to dance! Alex was a proud father of his daughters and so happy to be a grandfather to his eleven grandchildren. His laughter was loud and contagious and like him, full of spirit. He was often joking with his family and bantering with them, the phrases “suckas” and “Don’t you know I’m gorgeous?” was used often and will be dearly missed. He was a hard worker and would give the shirt off his back to help you. He was not one for material things and always said “As long as I have a roof over my head, food in my belly and a cold beer in my hand.. I’m good.”

He is survived by his daughters: Shiann, Niobe (Tim), Trista (Joe); his grandchildren: Cienna, Caleb, Carter, Caiden, Cyson, Anastasia & Xavier, Jose, Forever, Rocky, & Patience: his mother Joyce; his sisters: Teresa and Gloria (Gerald): his brothers Frank (Amy) & Ruben (Mindy), Roger (Brandi); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his father Geronimo Jr; his brother Geronimo Lopez III; his cuñado Jason Roberts; his great nephews Mathias and Helios.
