Arlene Marie “ Gramma EE” Ewert, age 91, of Wells, MN died Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, MN. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Nasinec Funeral Home, 789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will commence after the service at the funeral home, starting at 1:00 PM at the Wells VFW for all who wish to join the family.
Arlene was born January 22, 1933, the daughter of Walter E. and Helen (Dylla) Jacobsen in Clark Township, Faribault County, MN. On September 16, 1959, she was united in marriage to Myron “Mike” Ewert in Wells, MN.
Arlene enjoyed sitting outside watching people drive by the house when she lived with her daughter Pam. She enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with family and friends and the occasional cocktail with her kids. She loved listening and dancing to Polka music.
Arlene is survived by eight children: Jerry Ewert (Jane Fuchs) of Wells, MN; Sandy (Lon) Hird of Sioux Falls, SD; Susie Jahnke of Wells, MN; Sherwood “Woody” (May) Stoen of Burnsville, MN; Brian Stoen of Apple Valley, MN; Patty Harkins of Edgewater, FL; Pam Schull of Wells, MN; and Michael Ewert (Serena) of Sioux Falls, SD; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. and Helen Jacobsen; husband, Myron “Mike” Ewert (2008); brother, Donald Jacobsen; and son-in law, Dale Jahnke (2020).

To the Steon and Ewert family. I’m sorry for the loss of your beloved Mother. I’m grateful for your Mom to let me invite Patty to all our lake gatherings with my family. We had a lot of laughs together. I remember she did like to dance. Still dancing at my sisters wedding only a few years ago!!
