Rollin Bruce Jensen, age 87, died peacefully Wednesday, March 13, 2024, surrounded by his two loving daughters. Visitation will be held at Nasinec Funeral Home (789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN) on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Rollie was born June 17, 1936 in Albert Lea to Wallace & Emyline Jensen. He grew up on the family farm near Clarks Grove, MN with his seven brothers. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1954 and enlisted in the Army, serving in the Korean War and as an Army Reservist until his honorable discharge in 1962. During his service he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. Rollie was very proud of his service to a country he loved. He will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with full military honors.

Rollie enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. His sense of humor and love of teasing were well known. So was his love of ice cream and his ‘dad’ jokes! He worked in sales his entire life. After retirement he loved puttering around their lake house in Nevis, MN, enjoying gardening and being outdoors. His property was always immaculate. As a jack of all trades, he could fix (or create a fix) for just about anything. His patience for teaching and helping others was well-known among family and friends. Many a niece, nephew, neighbor, and even a daughter or two, learned how to water ski, change oil, ride a bike, tune-up a motor, and many other life lessons from him. He not only made a difference in lives, he made a lasting impact. Even in his late years you could find him on the floor playing with whatever kids were around.

Rollie also loved getting together with his brothers at the family farm, where some epic Jensen stories and jokes were told, memories were made and many pick-up softball games were played.

He married the love of his life, Penel, in 1988. Together, they owned and operated Pattern Peddlers until retirement, enjoying traveling to see family and the country. The inseparable duo shared a deep love not only for each other, but in Faith and music. Rollin beamed with pride and joy when the piano music Penel would play filled their home and church.

Rollie is survived by his wife, Penel. His daughters Ann (Jim) and Raquel (Mike). His step-children; David (Johnia), Rachel (Chris), and Mark. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Three of his brothers; Tony, John & Dan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Freddie, Jim, Melvin, and Leon, and two sisters-in-law.
