Donna Mae (Peterson) Schobert, age 91, of Fairmont, MN formerly of Bricelyn, passed away Friday, March 15,2024 at Birchwood Cottages, North Mankato, MN.   A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells (789 Business Park Drive) with Pastor Peg Marose officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1:00-2:00 pm) at Nasinec Funeral Home.  Burial will be in North Blue Earth Lutheran Cemetery following the service and a light luncheon.  In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial to North Blue Earth Lutheran Cemetery.

Donna Mae was born August 9,1932 in rural Bricelyn the daughter of Peter T. and Mae (Thompson) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed at the North Blue Earth Lutheran Church. Donna attended country school and graduated from Bricelyn Public School, the Class of 1950.

She was united in marriage to Harry Henry Schobert June 21,1953 at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Debra and Michael.

While raising her family, Donna worked many miscellaneous jobs in Blue Earth and Bricelyn. She also helped her husband farm the Peterson Family farm. Donna retired in April 1998 from St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center after 19 years of being the Housekeeping Manager. While working hard her entire life, she always had time for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was especially honored to be a great great grandmother to Cora Mae.  Abby Mae and Cora Mae are named after her and her mother.

She is survived by her children: Debra (Fred) Redman and Michael (Stacey) Schobert; grandchildren: Nicole Bruegger, Angie (Chris) Anderson, Jackson and Landon Schobert; great-grandchildren: Morgan Bruegger (Caleb Miller), Allison and Abby Mae Bruegger, Drew and Brady Anderson; one great-great granddaughter Cora Mae Miller; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Donna is proceeded in death by her husband Harry in 2016; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
