Gladys E. Gudahl, age 96, of New Prague, MN formerly of Edina, MN passed away August 31, 2024 at Praha Village in New Prague. Per her request, no services will be held.  Memorials may be directed to the Minnesota Arboretum in her memory.

Gladys was born March 25, 1928 in Albert Lea to Absalon and Clara (Fenske) Gudahl. She grew up on a small farm south of Bricelyn and walked to school with her sisters. After high school graduation, Gladys attended Macalester College graduating with a degree in Business. She taught briefly in Adrian, MN and Omaha, NE before returning to Minnesota. She then taught for many years in the Minneapolis public school system. Gladys was a traveler, every summer she and her travel companions would pick a country to explore. In all she traveled to 32 different countries. She also loved the Minnesota Arboretum, where she was a lifetime member.

Gladys is survived by 7 nieces & nephews: Alvin T. (Tom) Peterson, Richard Peterson, Barb Peterson-Hunziker, Karen Busch, Brian Klingbeil, Mike Klingbeil and Gordy Klingbeil.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Absalon and Clara Gudahl; sisters Gin (Dr. Alvin) Peterson and Carmen (Ordean) Klingbeil, and nephew James Peterson.
