Gerald βJerryβ was born June 3, 1949, he was Baptized-Confirmed and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Wells, MN.Β After his motherβs death in October 1958 as a result of a car accident, Jerry lived with his aunt and uncle Marceline and Jennings Fure of rural Thompson, IA.Β Fond memories he had living with their family.Β Jerry was a Wells-Easton graduate of 1967.Β After graduation, he worked various jobs until 1973 when he went to Minneapolis to become a dental technician, getting certified in 1993.Β He was once part owner of a dental lab in Dresser, WI before moving to Hastings, MN and working for Dexterity Dental Arts in Farmington, MN.Β After retiring in 2011, Jerry moved back to Wells, MN.Β Jerry and Jane had a cabin near Hayward, WI for 10 years then became snowbirds, going to Green Valley, AZ in 2018 and enjoying the mountain views from their patio.
Jerry was a gentleman, dedicated in everything he pursued.Β He was creative with stained glass, driftwood, and Janeβs projects.Β He was quick-witted and made everyone laugh with his βone-linersβ especially during card games.
July 3, 2021 Jerry was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer.Β We were told there was no cure but with treatments we were able to make memories.
Preceded in death by: Mother Adeline (1958), Father Myron (2008), Step-mother Arlene (2024), Brother-in-law Dale Jahnke, and Sister-in-law Madeleine (Dale) Fox.
