Due to weather, services for Janice Linder have been postponed until Tuesday December 30, 2025 at 2:00pm at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm.
Janice Linder age 88 of Mankato, MN formerly of Easton, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side Monday, December 22, 2025 at Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Shakopee, MN. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 29, 2025 at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells at 2:00pm with visitation from 1:00-2:00pm. Pastor Judy Clark will be officiating with burial in Rosehill Cemetery and a luncheon at Nasinec Event Center after the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
Janice Isabelle was born March 22,1937 to Otho and Mary (Mutch) Abbott in Mankato, MN. Growing up, she lived in various Southern Minnesota towns and graduated from Mapleton High School in 1955. After high school, she attended Mankato Commercial College and worked as an office administrator for Minnesota Valley Natural Gas. On November 17, 1958, Janice was united in marriage to Joseph Linder and moved to his family farm in Easton, MN. There they raised five children—Bradley, Kathleen, Jeffrey, Joan and David.
When the children were older, Janice worked for several years as an office administrator at Telex in Blue Earth, MN. In addition to raising a family and work, Janice was active in the Open Doors United Methodist Church, the Easton American Legion Auxiliary and various card clubs. In retirement, Janice and Joseph moved to Wells, MN and eventually Mankato, MN. Janice and Joseph shared 63 years of marriage. After Joseph passed in 2022, Janice moved to the Twin Cities area to be closer to her daughters.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph (2022); her parents; sister Marilyn Juliar; brothers-in-law: Harold Linder, Orvis Juliar and Mark Marquardt.
Janice is survived by her children: Bradley Linder of Burnsville, MN, Kathleen (Brian) Herbers of Prior Lake, MN, Jeff (Deb) Linder of Easton, Joanie (Todd) Foss of Prior Lake, MN, David (Rita) Linder of Brainerd, MN; along with their children and families; sisters-in-law Marce Linder, Florida; Bernice (Frank) Giese, Colorado; Doris Marquardt, New Ulm, MN; brother-in-law Bob (Peg) Linder, Easton, MN; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Friendship Manor for their kind and compassionate care.
