Rollo was born July 14, 1936, in Kiester Township, Faribault County, MN, son of Edward and Hannah (Lura) Kiihn. His mother said it was the hottest day of the year. In 1990, Rollo was united in marriage to Audrey Pierce at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. July 14th, which was both of their birthdays and then became their anniversary. With this union, they became a family.
Rollo and Audrey traveled a lot, they especially enjoyed going on cruises and visiting Hawaii. Rollo was a big fan of Minnesota sports teams and loved watching his step grandchildren play sports when he was able.
Rollo was preceded in death by his parents; step daughter-in-law Shawn Pierce; and step granddaughter Alisha Marie Pierce.
Rollo is survived by his wife Audrey of Bricelyn, MN; stepchildren Scott Pierce of Owatonna, MN, Jeff “Curly” (Tanya) Pierce of Chaska, MN, and Jenny (Chris) Erickson of St. Paul, MN; step grandchildren Ashley Pierce, Shawnda (Matt) Geiselhart, Jackson Pierce, Bennet Pierce, Prescott Pierce, Johnna Pierce, Francis Pierce, Ingrid Erickson, and Elsa Erickson; step great-grandchildren Pierce and Bode Geiselhart; brother Ross (Phyllis) Kiihn of St. Paul, MN; two nieces Melanie Kiihn, and Stephanie (Robert) Aschenbrenner.

Sending our deepest sympathy to the Kiihn/Pierce family for your loss. Remembering good times and great memories of our “road trips” around Iowa and South Dakota. They were “happy days”! We also enjoyed Hawaii and Lake Havasu together, which, sadly, we are presently located. Hugs!!!
What can I say…quite a Rollo. Loved talking sports and joking around with everyone. Had great times shaking dice and having cocktails with him. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I’m so sorry for your loss
Dear Audrey, we are so sorry to hear of Rollo’s passing. Sending you much love.
Audrey and family, I am so sorry for your loss! I enjoyed Rollo’s friendship and all the time at Crescent
Apts having coffee! He will be missed! I always enjoyed seeing him at the Border League reunions in his bright orange Bricelyn lettermen’s
class of 54 sweater. He wore it proudly!
Sending my sympathies to you Audrey and the Pierce families…you were a great team for Rollo! You all added so much to his life!! Enjoy the memories, he lived a good one!
Audrey & family, Rollo was a fixture at the Nels Lee Post #165, whose presence will be deeply missed! He always greeted & talked to us when we seen each other. Always joking around & smiling as though he was up to something. I will find myself pulling off my pop tabs to give to Rollo & leave them in a jar for him. We miss him deeply! Sending hugs & much love to you Audrey! We are here for you if you need anything!
Audrey and Family ,
Rollo was a true icon and one of the funniest man I’ve been associated with . I remember our visits as a kid when we would travel to Bricelyn to make our Kiihn rounds . Rollo was a true Minnesota Golden Gopher fans. I recall his knowledge of sports was second to none . Our heart goes out to the family with your loss
