Georgia M. Wilson, age 95, of Delavan, MN died Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Mapleton Community Home. Visitation will be Monday, April 20th from 10:00am-11:00am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 20, 2026 at United Church of Mapleton. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
Georgia Mae was born July 4, 1930 to George and Velma (Garnes) Moore in Boone, IA. She was united in marriage to Robert Wilson on September 26,1950 in Blue Earth and to this union they were blessed with eight children. Georgia was a farm wife where she worked alongside her husband. She enjoyed gardening, canning, painting, and writing in beautiful calligraphy. Georgia was very loving, caring, and family oriented. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; Son Randy Wilson; granddaughter Megan Hopkins and son-in-law Max Hopkins.
Georgia is survived by her children: Diane (Denny) Schroeder, Cindy (Steve) Massop, Brenda (Craig) Timmerman, Cheryl (Dan) Haugh, Bob (Bev) Wilson, Patrice (Mike) Falck and Jolene Hopkins; 22 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Tracy Wilson.

I’ve heard a thousand mother-in-law jokes in my life. Never understood them. I had the most non-judgmental, the most down to earth loving MIL a man could ask for. She loved her brood unconditionally, asked for little, but gave so much!
Georgia & Bob and their family were our neighbors for many years growing up. Our families assisted each other with farm duties as neighbors do. Georgia was always hardworking, kind, helpful and had a smile and laugh to brighten your day. She painted on a couple milk cans for us that we will always treasure. She was a beautiful lady. Our sympathies to Georgia’s family.
May God bless aunt Georgia and her family. I remember the time we visited grandma Moores and aunt Georgia and Bob would come over to have Sunday lunch before we would head back to Mpls.
Seriously, one of the sweetest human beings I’ve ever known. She will be missed!!
