
Rayburn L. Urness, age 75, of Frost, MN died Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at United Lutheran Church in Frost, MN with the visitation starting at 1:00pm. Pastor Phil Smith will be officiating, and burial will follow the service at United Lutheran Cemetery in Frost, MN.
Rayburn Lee was born August 2, 1950 to Henry and Dorothy (Olson) Urness. Ray graduated from Frost High School the class of 1969, after high school Ray attended lineman school in Jackson, MN. He was a jack of all trades, from being an over the road truck driver to road construction and a member of the Frost Fire Department. He enjoyed working for Wayne Gullord as a snowplow operator, especially during the brutal ’78-’79 winters. During his free time, he enjoyed coffee hour and happy hour as well as driving around checking roads with Butch. He also liked to go on fishing trips to Canada and trips to Las Vegas. Ray was a very generous, kind soul and was always willing to help someone in need. He will be truly missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Cynthia Sweet.
Ray is survived by his cousins, friends and their families.
