Marcia K. (Haukoos) Schorman 78, of Villa Park IL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 5, 2020. Visitation will be held at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells this Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home and Pastor Don Rose will officiate.  Burial will be at 11:40 in the Walters Cemetery in Walters, MN. Masks and social distancing will be followed at the funeral home and the cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Boys Town or your favorite charity.      She is preceded in death by her late husband Richard L. Schorman, her parents Millard and Bernice Haukoos, sisters Maxine, Betty, Beverly and Janice. Loving mother of Anthony (Dolores) Chantos and Vannessa Dobey, Sally (Warren) Kottwitz, Susan (Joe) Richards, dear grandmother to Zachary Dobey and Anne Chantos, Douglas (Kelsey) Kottwitz, Lindsay Kottwitz  and Jim Richards, fond sister of Patricia Haugh, Dennis (Inez) Haukoos, Ronald (Mary) Haukoos, loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and lifelong friend of Helen Chantos.

     Marcia, the youngest of 8 children, was born in Faribault County, Minnesota where her family farmed the land.  She attended a 1-room school house and helped her favorite teacher with her students.  Marcia enjoyed attending church and school, then moved to Elmhurst, IL in the early 1960’s.  Marcia started her career at one of the largest chemical companies in the world, Hercules Inc., as a Regional Office Manager where she travelled from coast to coast and successfully managed 12 offices.

     Marcia loved her church and stayed very involved with Grace Lutheran of Villa Park, IL. She served on several committees, volunteered weekly at Sunday Services, and helped the homeless by facilitating and working at PADS homeless shelter for many years.  Marcia enjoyed reading, baking, attending church, listening to classic country music and loved spending time with her family and many friends.  Her kindness and love will be missed by many.
