Alan Richard Knutson of Wells, Minnesota tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident Sunday June 22, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 7:00 PM, with visitation from 4-7:00 PM at Nasinec Funeral Home, 789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN 56097. The family will be wearing Harley attire or Alan’s favorite: a white shirt and blue jeans. If you ride a motorcycle, please drive it to the service.
Alan was born April 24, 1979 in Wells, MN, to Joseph DesMarais and Sandra Knutson. Growing up, he loved riding skateboard and listening to rock and roll music. He had a passion for working on and fixing vehicles and motorcycles. He worked hard, was always busy, and could not sit still, and was an adrenaline junky. Alan collected many kinds of memorabilia from Coca-Cola and Harley Davidson to old skateboards and toys, which he always tried to keep pristine in their packages in his home. He also liked to have fresh flowers, especially peonies, on the table. Alan deeply cared for others; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
Alan was preceded in death by his father Joseph DesMarais, grandparents Kenny and Patsy Knutson, and uncles Larry Knutson and Richard DesMarais.
Alan is survived by his children: MaKayla Knutson (Rowan Haines) of Belgrade, MT and Brandon (Emily) Nield and their daughters: MaKenna and Maizie of Murrieta, CA; fiancée Misty Chavez and her daughters Destiny and Josie, of Wells, MN; his mother Sandy (Robert) DiCario of Vista, CA; sister Summer DesMarais and her sons Gavin and Blazen Spagnuolo of Wells, MN; brothers: Joseph DesMarais and his children Andrew, Lily, and Chanel of Wells, MN, and Robby DiCario (fiancée Mirella Zamarripa-Barrios) and their son Logan of Wells, MN; aunts: Kathy Knutson of Choctaw, OK, Bonnie Knutson of Mankato, MN, Mary Foley of Wells, MN, and Lori Placek of Wells, MN; as well as many other cherished friends and family.
