Joseph “Joey” A. DesMarais, age 43 died Friday, October 10,2025 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Saint Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Nasinec Funeral Home with a visitation starting one hour prior (1:00pm-2:00pm) to the service.
Joseph Allen DesMarais “Joey” was born November 18, 1981 to Joseph DesMarais and Sandra Knutson in Minneapolis, MN.
He is preceded in death by his father Joseph DesMarais; brother Alan Knutson; grandparents Kenny and Patsy Knutson; and uncles Larry Knutson and Richard DesMarais.
Joey is survived by his children: Andrew, Lily and Chanel of Wells, MN; mother Sandy (Robert) DiCario of Vista, CA; sister Summer DesMarais (Adam Christopherson) and her sons Gavin and Blazen Spagnuolo of Wells, MN and Robby DiCario (fiancée Mirella Zamarripa-Barrios) and their sons Logan and Crew of Wells, MN; niece MaKayla Knutson (Rowan Haines) of Belgrade, MT; nephew Brandon (Emily) Nield and their children MaKenna and Maizie of Murrieta, CA; aunts: Kathy Knutson of Choctaw, OK, Bonnie Knutson of Mankato, MN, Mary Foley of Wells, MN, and Lori Knutson of Wells, MN; as well as many other cherished friends and family.

I’m sooo sorry , I miss him so much. Think about him everyday! At least he’s not in any pain anymore. We had some great times together. He was always looking out for me
