Sharon Kay was born May 31, 1932, to Kenneth and Violet (Brock) Wollen in Lake City, IA. She attended and graduated from Mankato High School, class of 1951. Sharon was united in marriage to James Joseph Schultz October 29, 1952, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, MN. To this union five children were born. They lived on a small acreage in rural Wells and later moved into the city of Wells. Sharon was a very good cook and enjoyed making wonderful Sunday meals for all the family. She also was a great seamstress. She loved to sew, she even made a wedding gown for one daughter and five bridesmaid dresses for another daughter. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon also enjoyed traveling, it didn’t matter if it was a trip up north or going to Mexico, she loved to go! She was a woman of deep faith and served the St. Casimir Catholic Church unconditionally. We will miss her greatly.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim (2009); two daughters Deb Bruckhoff (2017) and Christine Foote (2020); and sister Nancy Conley.
