Levi B. Rutzen, 44, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025.  A celebration of Levi’s life will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at Nasinec Funeral Home, Wells, MN. The Rosary will be prayed from 4:30–5:00 pm, visitation will follow from 5:00–6:30 pm, and a service led by Father Pratap Reddy Salibindla will begin at 6:30 pm.

Levi Bruce was born January 29, 1981. Levi’s greatest joy and proudest blessing was his son, Isaac Rutzen, whom he loved beyond measure. As an extremely talented artist, Levi found beauty in many mediums—drawing, painting, and mixed‑media sculpture—and he thrived in the theater setting, both on stage and behind the scenes, earning accolades for his staging work. He loved to cook, and he loved to fish; casting a line brought him peace in a world that could be hard.

Levi traveled twice to Honduras on mission trips and returned fulfilled, eager to serve again. He was a caretaker at heart—always trying to fix what was broken and make people happy. Though addiction touched many chapters of his life, he loved his family dearly, and when his mind was clear, time with them brought him unmatched joy. His final text to his mother read, “Hey Mama, I just wanted to tell you I love you. Hope you’re having a good night.”

Levi is survived by his son, Isaac; his mom, Diane (Mike) Morgan; his brothers Caleb (Miranda) Johnson and Zach Johnson; his stepmother, Stacey Rutzen; his sisters Dawn (Jesse) Teerink and Amanda (Jake Hansen) Rutzen; and his nieces and nephews Trevor, Kinley, Kaden, Hallie, and Carter, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was welcomed into eternity by his dad, Ryan Rutzen; his sister, Mackenzie Schroeder; his aunt, Barbara Garver; his niece, Madison Teerink; and his grandparents Bruce and Lorraine Roberts and Marvin and Elsie Rutzen.
