
Michael Robert Maslakow, age 82, of Winnebago died, Thursday, April 30th, 2026 at the Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, MN. A visitation will be Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 4:00-7:00pm at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN and will continue one hour prior (10:00-11:00am) to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Mike was born February 23, 1944 to Michael and Edith (Klemstine) Maslakow in Madison, WI. Mike attended college at Bethany in Mankato and MSU-Mankato. He married Annette Schull September 5, 1964 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Decoria Twp and the couple made Wells their home in 1966. Mike worked for Wells Concrete for 42 & 1/2 years, and he also was involved in Bucks Investment Club. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling and curling.
He is preceded in death by his wife Annette; his parents Michael and Edith (Charles) Brown; brother John Brown; sister in infancy Charlene Brown; brother-in-law John Schull and his grandparents.
Mike is survived by his children: Kevin (Ann) Maslakow, Kim Dalton, Kristin (Loren) Vogelsang, Koreen (Todd) Borwege; grandchildren: Kaci, Kali, Alex (Liz), Sara (Mitch), Andrew and Mya; great-grandchildren: Kaden, Amara, Isaac, Radek and Henry; sister Dorothy Kay (Richard) Mattie; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Mapleton Community Home and St. Croix Hospice for their care and support they gave to Mike over the years.
So very sorry for your loss. I remember him as a dedicated basketball fan at Alex’s games.

Dale enjoyed, not only curling against Mike, but also the fellowship that followed each game, especially in Centerville, WI.
