
Carolee A. Fletcher, age 86, of Wells died, Friday, May 1st, 2026 at her home in Wells. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be private with family.
Carolee Ann was born June 21, 1939 to Carl and Gladys (Rassmusson) Rodahl in Wells, MN. She graduated from Wells High School and the Naeve Hospital 3 year RN program in Albert Lea and started her nursing career before moving to California where she met Ellis Fletcher. Ellis and Carolee were married on November 10, 1962 in San Diego, CA. They lived on the Naval base on Midway Island while Ellis served in the Navy and moved back to Wells, MN after his 10 ½ years of service were completed. Carolee left her work as a nurse and she and Ellis opened Ellis Carpet Shop in 1977 in Wells, MN where she did bookkeeping and sales. She eventually returned to nursing and worked for many years at nursing homes in and near Wells.
Carolee was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for animals and had many beloved pets over the years. Carolee loved being a nurse and she grieved having to leave the profession when her own health problems made retirement necessary.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ellis; son Perry; her parents and brother Carl Rodahl.
Carolee is survived by her children: Mike (Kari) Fletcher of Mankato, MN and Kim (Kevin) Kastens of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Beth Teigen, Kathy (Scott) Becker, Kjirsten (Ryan) Harvey, Katie (Dan) Frenk, Aaron (Callie) Fletcher, Adam Fletcher, Benjamin Fletcher, Angel Nielsen, and great-grandchildren Abby Teigen, Emma Tiegen, Madison Teigen, Brayden Becker, Sophia Becker, Celia Becker, Abby Harvey, Maggie Harvey, Olivia Harvey, Lilly Frenk, Christopher Frenk, Penny Frenk, Arlo Fletcher, and August Fletcher.

I’m sorry for your loss. Carolee was a good friend with my sister, Carol. She was at our house a lot plus went to the same church. Rest in peace Carolee.
