
Rose M. Seipp, age 96, of Alden, MN died Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems- Austin. A memorial mass will be at 11:00am on Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Father Peter Klein will be officiating, and burial will be at Alden Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials are preferred to Special Olympics of MN or Mankato Rehabilitation Center (MRCI).
Rose Marie was born May 15, 1930 to Lawrence and Lorretta (Neubauer) Staloch in Albert Lea, MN. She graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1948 and attended Mankato Teachers College where she earned her Teaching Degree and taught for 3 years. She married Lloyd Seipp May 28, 1952 in Wells, MN. The couple moved to New Bern, NC while Lloyd served in the Marines.
In 1954 the couple moved back to the Alden area where they established their home and raised their five children. Rose lived in their home until her death. Rose worked at St. John’s in Albert Lea for 20 years. Rose was very active in the community; she was involved in circles at St. Casimir Catholic Church, a girl scout and cub scout leader. She was an avid golfer; golfing every Tuesday in the Wells Women’s League. She spent her free time gardening, reading, playing cards, baking and spending time with her family. Rose & Lloyd loved to travel, they had spent time in many areas of the U.S., London, Dublin, Germany and road tripping to Alaska….twice!
She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd; her parents; son-in-law Jay Johnsrud, brother Adrian (Gayle) Staloch; sister: Mary (George) Doyle; sister-in-law: Lois (Gene) Turtness; brothers-in-law: Roy Seipp, Verle (Marlene) Seipp and Arnie Wolfe; nephews Tom Staloch and Mike Wolfe.
Rose is survived by her children: Mark Seipp of Mankato, MN, David Seipp (Betsy Koss) of Farmington, MN, Terry (Lee) Seipp of Nisswa, MN, Ann Johnsrud of Albert Lea and Mary (Scott) Elmer of Savage, MN; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Marlene (Tom) Steidler and JoAnn Wolfe; sisters-in-law: Judy (Erv) Ulrich and Donna Seipp; along with many nieces, nephews and their families.
Remember of this beautiful family. They were true Aldenites and gave to the community. Smyphathy to the family.
