Jane Anderson, age 67 of Bricelyn, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 15th, 2026 at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church (Brush Creek Twp.) with visitation from 10:00-11:00am.
Jane Phyllis was born on July 6, 1958 in Wells to Carl and Phylis (Evenson) Voges. She grew up in rural Bricelyn and was a 1976 graduate of Bricelyn High School. She later attended South Central College, in Mankato for nursing and graduated and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1988.
Jane married David Anderson at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church in rural Bricelyn in 1976. They were blessed with their 4 daughters and later divorced. Jane was always a caregiver and worked in various care centers over the years. She loved helping others and enjoyed getting to know her residents and forming special bonds with them as well as gaining many friends with the staff she worked alongside. Jane loved her pets; she had many throughout the years and loved to dote on them. She was easy going and could make anyone laugh with her jokes and light-hearted sense of humor! Jane was always a gracious giver and would literally give anything she had to someone in need. She continued this by being a donor and giving the gifts she had available upon her death. We know she would smile to know she was able to help others. Jane enjoyed her political conversations, her favorite TV series, cooking enough food to feed an army, and calling to check on everyone to ensure they were safe, especially if a snowstorm was coming and would always remind you to watch for deer! Jane will be remembered for her kind heart and the joy she would bring to any situation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her companion Willard Culbertson, and several aunts and uncles.
Jane is survived by her daughters: Jessica Anderson of Bricelyn, JoAnna (Dana) Helgeson of Buffalo Center, IA, Jennie (Aaron) Wendt of New Ulm, Jamie (Jason) Shure of Blue Earth; Grandchildren: Taylor Weyhrauch (Andrew Neid) of Springfield, MN, Dylan (Kloe) Herfindahl of St. Cloud, Jordyn Levine of Mankato, Caiden Shure of Mankato, Madisyn Fuchs of Mankato, and Brynlee Portner of New Ulm; Great grandson Krew Herfindahl; siblings: Robert Voges of Bricelyn, her twin sister and best friend; Jean Ann Eisenhauer of Bricelyn, Janice (Russ) Berndt of Good Thunder, John (Dawn) Voges of Angora and Sara Voges of Bricelyn; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives as well as many friends and her faithful pets Niki and Ginger.
