Christopher Allan Hollund, age 63, of Faribault MN, died on Saturday, July 18th 2026 enroute to Abbott Northwestern Hospital after suffering from a cardiac arrest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells on Thursday, July 23rd 2026 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held prior to Mass at the church from 9:00am to 11:00am. Burial will follow the funeral service at St. Casimir’s Cemetery in Wells, MN.
Chris was born to Ervin and Donna (Meyer) Hollund, December 27th 1962. He grew up on their hog farm in Wells, MN. Being and working on the farm was something that was sewn into the fabric of his being. Right up until his passing, he was still working out on the farm doing whatever it was that he could. He was at home out there on the tractor or caring for the new litter of farm kittens running around. The other piece that anyone who knew Chris would know is that he loved cars, or really all things with a motor and at least 2 wheels. Since he was young, he enjoyed racing and demo derbies. He loved to ride his black Honda Shadow. He could be found working on someone’s car at any time! There is no doubt that his career in automotive parts fed that passion as he started at National Bushing’s in the late 80’s and finished at Bliss Ford as Parts Manager until he retired in 2025. Chris would help anyone that sought him for it. Acts of services were a huge part of the last years of his life.
He was preceded in death by Ervin and Donna Hollund, Samantha Kay Stenzel-Hollund, Dennis Hollund and other family members and close friends.
He is survived by family: Squirmy, Gabrielle Hollund and Tyler Ta; Toph Hollund; Tabatha Hollund and Peyton Gaul; David, Kim, Gavin and Brayden Hollund; Faith, Corey, Benjamin, Lillian and Penny Howard; Dana, Izzy, Riley and Logan Erickson; Shawn Hollund; Lisa Stenzel; Lisa and Bob Dulas; Wanda and Pat Hull; Laura Callahan; Amanda Hollund and James Wagner; along with many other family members and friends.
Sympathies to all of you!
I’m in shock seeing this! I hung out with Chris in high school and loved the cars he drove. My sympathies to the families. May he rest in peace.
We give you our deepest sympathy. We were customers of Ford and got to know Chris because someone from family was always in Ford. He was the nicest person. We talked whenever he came to Walmart and HyVee where I worked. He was supportive of me when my husband died at 65. Forever will miss him. May he rest in peace.
Thinking of all of you during this difficult time! Prayers for peace and healing knowing he’s watching over you now.
I as well used to hang out with Chris in high school what a wonderful human being I condolences to the family.
