Marlene Margaret (Korman) Gadola Sievers, age 92, of Albert Lea, formerly of Wells, MN, died July 9, 2026, at Hidden Creek Estates Assisted Living at Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. A public visitation will be held at Nasinec Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:00 am-11:00 AM to greet her family. The Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11:00am with Pastor Don Rose officiating.  In Marlene’s words: “ At my age, death is not the end of the world, but only an open door to eternal life”.

Marlene was born November 5, 1933, in Brush Creek Township, Faribault County, Minnesota, to Clifford John and Edna Margaret (Erdner) Korman. She was baptized on December 10, 1933, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wells, and subsequently confirmed on March 30, 1947. Marlene completed her secondary education at Wells High School, graduating with the class of 1951, and pursued further studies at Mankato State University following graduation.

Marlene worked at Wells Federal Savings and Loan and Werner Insurance Agency from 1951-1957. She was also a secretary at First Evangelical Lutheran Church and Gadola Law Office.

Marlene was united in marriage to Joseph R.  Gadola on May 26, 1957 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wells, and to this union 2 sons were born, Alan Joseph and Robert Jay.

A lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Marlene served on the church council, was involved in the Charity Circle, held officer roles in ALCW, and led the League of Women’s Voters and the Wells Library Board. She coordinated Search Bible Study and contributed to Meals on Wheels and the church funeral committee.

She married William “Bill” Sievers on October 28, 1989, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. They shared 31 years of marriage until his passing in 2021.

Marlene had interests in reading, traveling, and dancing to good music. She appreciated playing Bridge with friends and hosting gatherings at her residence. She pursued adult education courses and participated in Search Bible Study. Additionally, Marlene enjoyed flower gardening and occasionally engaged in golf when the opportunity arose.

Marlene is survived by her sons, Alan Gadola of Maple Grove, MN, and Robert Gadola  (Laurie Berg) of Eden Prairie, MN; 2 grandsons: Sam (Briana) Gadola and their daughter Billie;  Adam (Kelly) Gadola and their sons Teddy and Wesley; two nephews: Paul (Terry) Gjersvik and their children Laura and Daniel, Jeffrey (Becky) Gjersvik and their children Nick and Gina; Bill’s family: Amy Patrice of Clermont, FL, Mark (Ann) Sievers of Brooklyn Park, Heidi Dauer of Mankato.

Marlene was preceded in death by her son Glen (1958), her parents, both husbands, and her sister Carol (Wilbur) Gjersvik.
