Sara J. Gack, age 57 of Easton, MN died Sunday, October 4, 2026 at her home from complications of Congestive Heart Failure. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 9, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells. A Prayer Service will be at 7:00 PM, concluding the evening.
Sara Jayne was born April 14, 1969, the daughter of Greg and Judith (Brucker) Scheid in Winnebago, MN. She grew up in the Easton area and graduated from Delavan High School, the class of 1987. On December 16, 1989, Sara married Gary Gack II in Easton, MN. To this union, one son, Gary Gack III was born. Sara loved her family and kept in contact with them daily.
She started her career in Floral Design at Hy-Vee and spent the majority of her career (over 30 years) at Gartzke’s Garden Center in Blue Earth, MN. She loved flowers and creating special arrangements for all occasions. Sara was a cat lover, having many house cats throughout the years and tolerating the family dogs.
Sara was a long-time member and Past President of the Faribault County Fair Board for over 20 years. She enjoyed organizing the Fair along with the board members. Sara enjoyed the social aspect of being in the community. For many years, she was involved in the Boerigter Belgian Horse Hitch Team through the Waseca County Fair.
Sara is survived by her husband Gary of Easton, son Gary III of Blue Earth, MN; father, Greg Scheid and sister April Scheid, both of Blue Earth, MN, brother Scott (wife Renee) Scheid of Huntley, MN; niece, Jennifer Scheid of Mankato, and nephew, Trent Scheid (Amy Kleinschmidt) of Delavan, MN and their children Oliver, Ryder and Paisley; Uncle, Dale Sonnek of Easton, and Aunt, Peggy Brucker of Mankato; cousins, Jeffrey Brucker, Kaitlyn and Lea Brucker and Chris (Laura) Sonnek and their families.
Sara was preceded in death by her mother Judy (1972), sister Melissa (2022), step-mother, Ilene Scheid (2010); maternal grandparents Lowell “Jiggs” (Betty) Brucker, aunt, Margaret Brucker Sonnek (2025), uncle, Robert Brucker (2020), In-laws: Gary Sr. (Nancy) Gack.
Greg and April I’m very sorry for your loss! As a neighbor growing up I knew her well, all those years on the school bus and at school she was always fun to be around. Loved her sense of humor and how you always knew how she felt on issues she didn’t mince words she told you what was on her mind! RIP Sara
