Pearl Naomi (Koestler) Swain, age 92, formerly of Kiester, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in Marion, Iowa.  Visitation will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM- 5:00 PM at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church, Elmore, MN (10:00-11:00 AM). A memorial service will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Elmore, MN, with Pastor Michael Klatt officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN.  Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with arrangements.

Pearl was born May 6, 1930 the daughter of Reinhold (“RC”) and Esther (Sanders) Koestler in Burt, Iowa.  She graduated from Frost High School, the class of 1948. Pearl married Roger Dean Rinehart December 31, 1949; to this union four children were born: Judy, Jeff, Keith, and Brian.  Pearl worked at Sears in Fort Dodge, IA for nearly 20 years and Plumb Supply for nearly eight years.  On June 9, 1978 Pearl married Clarence N. Swain at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge, IA.

Pearl was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elmore, MN.  She was involved in the Kiester Senior Citizens for a number of years.

She is survived by her children: Judy (Chuck) Knapp of Fort Smith, AR, Jeff (Deb) Rinehart of Naperville, IL, Keith (Carol) Rinehart of Kiester, MN, Brian (Carrie) Rinehart of Anamosa, IA, seven grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and their families.  She is also survived by her brother Lloyd (Karen) Koestler of Blue Earth, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents RC and Esther Koestler, two brothers: Doyle Koestler, Edwin Koestler, and sister Twylah Jensen.
